Minneapolis, MN–July 15, 2003–Electro-Sensors, Inc. has introduced the SG1000 Slide Gate Monitor. The SG1000 provides fast, accurate feedback of slide gate or valve position to an external device such as a PLC or Slide Gate Display.
The SG1000 gives the operator precise feedback for more accurate control of gate position when loading/unloading, or blending bulk materials. The monitor is available in 2 models, the SG1000A which provides a 4-20mA analog output, and the SG1000DN, which interfaces with DeviceNet networks. Either model can be installed on a wide range of gate sizes providing a "one size fits all" capability. When installed, the monitor provides feedback to an external device (PLC) or an optional remote Slide Gate Display. Capable of measuring the slide gate or valve position between 0 and 100%, the SG1000 enables more efficient process control and safety, guarding against machine failure, product waste, or process downtime.
The SG1000 is easy to install and calibrate and offers the ruggedness and versatility that many other gate/valve monitors lack. The SG1000 is housed in a rugged explosion proof cast aluminum housing that is dirt, dust, grease, and water proof.
