THE ELECTRO-SENTRY COMBINES THE KEY ELEMENTS OF SHAFT SPEED, BELT ALIGNMENT, AND BEARING TEMPERATURE INTO ONE EASY TO USE STAND ALONE HAZARD MONITORING SYSTEM INCORPORATING THE COMMAND CENTER TOUCH SCREEN DISPLAY FOR EASY VISUAL MONITORING AND FAST ALARM IDENTIFICATION.
The Electro-Sentry is a multi-leg system commonly used on grain elevator legs to monitor critical points for shaft slowdown, belt alignment and bearing temperature as part of a predictive maintenance program to protect against catastrophic breakdowns and machinery failure resulting in product waste, machinery damage and process downtime. All Electro-Sentry components provide a standard 4-20mA signal compatible with I.S. Barriers, PLCs, Meters and Data Acquisition Systems and are available as an integrated system or as individual sensors.
The Command Center is a touch screen display (HMI) and PLC for use with the Electro-Sentry Hazard Monitoring System. The Command Center can accept sensor inputs from up to 10 elevator legs combining shaft speed, belt alignment and bearing temperature measurement all into a single solution. The system is straightforward and simple to use, allowing even an inexperienced operator to diagnose an alarm condition and location in under 10 seconds. Real time trending and data feedback to the PLC ensures no delay in diagnosing and remedying any fault conditions as they occur. The Command Center can be scaled up or down very easily and utilizes standard 4-20mA sensors making it immune to electrical noise and straightforward to set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot.
PLC and Touch Screen (HMI) - Command Center The Command Center is installed in a NEMA 12 enclosure and includes the following hardware: MicroLogix 1500 PLC, and Panel View Plus 1000 Interface (HMI).
Shaft Speed - FB420 or ST420 The FB420 is a shaft speed feedback sensor that mounts onto the elevator tail pulley to measure shaft speed. The FB420 outputs a 4-20mA signal across the RPM range of the shaft, and also has 2 programmable relay functions. Housed in a rugged, XP housing, the FB420 is ready to use requiring minimal end-user calibration.
Bearing Temperature - TT420Z-LT with 1/2" Conduit Adapter The TT420Z-LT is a 2-wire loop powered 4-20mA temperature transmitter that mounts into standard 1/8 or 1/4 grease fitting (Zerk) taps for bearing temperature measurement. The TT420Z-LT is ready to use requiring no end-user calibration. The TT420Z probe is available in 4" or 6 lengths allowing it to be used on a variety of bearing sizes.
Belt Alignment - TT420S-LT with 1/2" Conduit Adapter The TT420S-LT is a 2-wire loop powered 4-20mA temperature transmitter for belt alignment temperature measurement - it screws into the rear of any brass rub-block with a 1/4-28 tap. The TT420S-LT is ready to use requiring no end-user calibration. Brass Rub Block Door Assemblies are also available for use with TT420S-LT Sensors
